New to Market Walker Program

Thinking about becoming an exhibitor in the future, want a first-hand understanding of the market's dynamics or interested in sizing up your international competition. Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada New to Market Walker Program offers a number of advantages to you as a Canadian company.

The program will allow you to:

• Increase your knowledge of the market
• Gain valuable intelligence through contact with Trade Commissioners that know the market
• Enlarge your business network
• Increase your understanding of export requirements
• Understand the benefits of exhibiting in the future

Once you register as a participant, you will receive:

• Visitor show badge
• Canada pavilion name badge for access to the pavilion lounge
• Invitation to the official Canada networking event
• Access to the pre-show briefing and related market briefing material
• Invitation to a "meet and greet" before the Show with Trade Commissioners, Federal and Provincial government representatives, exhibitors and other Walkers
• The opportunity to schedule one-on-one meetings with Trade Commissioners attending the Show
• Copy of the Official Show Guide

At the European Seafood Exposition your program will begin on April 23, 2012 at 8:00 PM with an informal, self-funded, meet and greet at a restaurant close to the Canadian Mission. Here you will meet market development officers, trade commissioners, Embassy representatives, provincial and association members and Canadian company representatives exhibiting at the trade show.

Throughout the Show (April 24 -26) you will be able to speak one-on-one with Canadian Trade Commissioners from the European Union to get insights on preparing for international markets; assessing your market potential; finding qualified contacts and discussing your business strategy. These meetings will be coordinated with you in advance of your arrival at the Show

The Canada networking event will take place at the Canada pavilion on April 25, 2012 from 17:30 to 19:30 when Canadian and their special buyers/guests are invited to attend.

If you think this program suits your needs, we invite you to complete the Application for New to Market Walker Program and forward it along with your registration fee of $500, per participant, to the address located at the top of the Application. Your application must be received by March 1, 2012. Please ensure your payment is addressed to the "Receiver General for Canada". A maximum of 20 participants will be accepted into the Program, representing all regions.

Note that in addition, as a program participant you will be responsible for making your own travel and accommodation arrangements.

Upon receipt and approval of your Application you will be added to our list of participants and begin receiving information as it becomes available.
